The Penners are sexual therapists, educators and authors of eleven books. Joyce is a Clinical Nurse specialist with her master’s degree in psychosomatic medicine and nursing education from UCLA.

Sex is an uncomfortable topic for many clients and their therapists. Whether the client is single and celibate, single and in a committed relationship, or is married, a therapist who is able to bring up the topic of sexuality directly will encourage open, honest communication about sexual concerns of the individual or the couple.
The focus of this workshop is to train helping professionals to become more comfortable, competent and conversant about sexuality and the sexual relationship by knowing themselves and understanding the sexual disorders and intimacy challenges in marriage.
